Make a Floating Flower Arrangement

Make a Floating Flower Arrangement

used a rusty old plant saucer as my display bowl. I simply added water and any leftover blooms snipped from my garden. Shop bought roses filled in any gaps and fairy lights gave the arrangement a finishing touch of sparkle and shimmer.

This is a great way to use up the last of the garden flowers. Dahlias and Hydrangea are just perfect for this arrangement and make such a statement in the bowl.

I wound the fairy lights around the saucer. I recommend doing this before adding the water and once the bowl is in place. I pinched the wire over the saucer rim to secure. I then poured 3 jugs of cool water carefully into the saucer. Next I added my floating flowers cutting each stem to around 2cm. I found it easier to make this in situ it helps to stop the flowers moving around.
